Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef has expressed his delight with the performance of one Amakhosi player following their 4-1 thrashing of Magesi FC.

The Soweto giants extended their winning run to five matches after thrashing Magesi FC at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Khanyiso Mayo was back among the goals for Chiefs on the night after playing the entire second half, while Reeve Frosler secured two assists on his return to action.

“I think the first thing is Mayo, we’re so happy with the performance of Mayo and that he scored,” the coach said to SuperSport after the game.

“Certainly, he [Frosler] is back and made two assists so he is showed the importance for all the players in the squad.

“We have a big squad, big team and all of them they are ready to give us what we asked from them and all of them they’re ready to fight for the team, but the most important thing we’re not performing on one or two players, we’re a big squad and all of them can help.”

Ben Youssef revealed the squad is a lot better with a number of players returning from injury.

“I think from the start of the season we said that the performance always was there. We were a little bit unlucky sometimes, sometimes we missed a lot of chances then we’re unlucky about the injuries. Now the squad is ready all the squad is ready and the competition is there for every situation we have,” he added.

“Even today we missed a lot of chances but we scored already four goals so the most important thing for you the performance is there and we so happy about the performance of the players,” Youssef said.
