In a potential boost for Sevilla FC’s defensive lineup, Le Havre’s Arouna Sangante is on the verge of sealing a transfer to the Spanish club, as reported by Foot Mercato.

The 23-year-old defender has been on Sevilla’s radar since the winter transfer window, and with his contract set to expire in June 2024, the move appears imminent, with a preliminary agreement reportedly already in place.
Sangante, who hails from Senegal, has established himself as a key player for Le Havre, making 140 appearances for the club, including nearly 70 in Ligue 1. He played an integral role in Le Havre’s successful campaign that saw them lift the Ligue 2 title and gain promotion to the top flight last season, after which he was appointed team captain, a position he has held for three years.
This season, he has been a consistent presence in the squad, starting all 22 matches and contributing one goal and one assist.
