Nottingham Forest’s Premier League woes deepened as they extended their winless streak to seven matches with a goalless draw against Fulham, leaving them perilously close to the relegation zone by just goal difference.
The City Ground was electric with hope, as Nottingham Forest sought to break free from their winless rut in front of a passionate home crowd. Despite a promising start, the evening ended in frustration for the Tricky Trees, who left the pitch without a victory once again.
Fulham entered the match boasting a solid defensive start, having not conceded in the opening 15 minutes of a league game this season. However, early threats from Forest’s Elliot Anderson almost changed that; the winger cut inside menacingly but ultimately missed the target with his shot.
As the first half progressed, Fulham found their groove and nearly opened the scoring when Nigerian teammates Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey nearly linked up for a goal. Iwobi’s free-kick landed on Bassey’s head, but Forest keeper Matz Sels was quick to react, denying the close-range header.
Nottingham Forest tried to seize control with multiple attempts, notably from Morgan Gibbs-White and Nicolás Domínguez, but the Fulham defense, anchored by Bernd Leno, repelled both efforts, ensuring the teams went into halftime with a deadlock for the fifth league match running.
Determined to turn the tide, Forest charged out of the dressing room in search of a goal. Ola Aina came agonizingly close, crashing a spectacular shot off the crossbar that sent ripples of hope through the stands.
Just when it seemed a goal was inevitable, drama ensued as Dan Ndoye found the back of the net shortly thereafter. The City Ground erupted in celebration, only to be silenced moments later when VAR intervened. The goal was disallowed by a margin so slim that it left fans questioning whether luck was truly on their side.

Forest’s misfortune continued when Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz attempted a goal that looked destined for the net, only for Aina to heroically clear it off the line. The game remained in a stalemate as neither side could convert their chances in the closing moments, leaving both teams to settle for a point.
The result means Vítor Pereira is still chasing his maiden top-flight victory as Nottingham Forest manager (D2, L2), while Marco Silva’s Fulham side have now managed just one win in their last six away games (D2, L3), falling short of breaking into the top half of the table.
