With the summer transfer window approaching, Guglielmo Vicario’s aspirations to return to Serie A have garnered significant attention, particularly from Inter Milan. According to renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano and various other reports, the Italian goalkeeper is eager to make a move this summer, regardless of the circumstances.
Romano confirmed in a video that “Vicario is very high on Inter’s list,” emphasizing the club’s keen interest in securing his services.
“There is total openness from Vicario towards Inter. He’s fully open to joining the Inter project,” Romano added, indicating the goalkeeper’s willingness to embark on this potential move.
Vicario’s connection to Inter is not new; he was close to joining the club in 2023 before ultimately making the switch to Tottenham Hotspur from Empoli.
In addition to Inter, Serie A rivals Juventus and Roma are also monitoring the situation closely as the transfer developments unfold. With Yann Sommer expected to depart San Siro when his contract expires in June, Inter has identified a new goalkeeper as a primary objective in the upcoming summer transfer window.
In his first season with Tottenham, Vicario has made 36 appearances, maintaining 13 clean sheets and conceding 48 goals. He is also the second-choice goalkeeper for the Italian national team, having earned five caps.
