Kruger United have been crowned Motsepe Foundation Championship winners and secured automatic promotion to the Betway Premiership with two matches to spare.
United came into the clash on the back of five successive wins in the league, while Black Leopards needed to secure maximum points to give themselves a shot at survival.
However, the league leaders got off to the perfect start when Khetukuthula Ndlovu opened the scoring in the 33rd minute.
The lead was doubled in the 66th minute, with Ndlovu bagging his second goal of the contest.
The win was sealed with 18 minutes left on the clock in the second half as former Marumo Gallants and AmaZulu midfielder Celimpilo Ngema found the back of the net.
Leopards did manage to pull a goal back in the final two minutes of the contest, but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation as they now sit on the brink of relegation, as they sit six points adrift of safety with two matches to play.
