Sundowns got back to winning ways on Wednesday after defeating Polokwane 1-0 at the Seshego Stadium.
The win ended a run of back-to-back draws for Sundowns and also saw them overtake Orlando Pirates for top spot.
The Brazilians can open a four-point lead with a win this afternoon ahead of their clash against Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday.
Rise and Shine will be looking to get back on the winning trail as they look to cement a spot in the top eight.
Phuti Mohafe’s charges currently sit in sixth spot but they can move up to fifth spot with victory this afternoon.
