In a significant move for the German side, Werder Bremen has announced the signing of promising young forward Kenny Kébé from Le Havre, marking an exciting start to their upcoming season.

Transfer Details

On May 8th, Werder Bremen confirmed that Kébé will join as a free agent, enhancing the team’s roster ahead of the new season. The news was officially disclosed by Peter Niemeyer, the club’s professional football director.

“We are very pleased that Kenny, a talented and promising young player, has chosen to join Werder Bremen,” Niemeyer remarked. “We will help him take the next step in his professional career here. He has already accumulated first-team experience in a top European league, and we believe he can realize his talent within the team.”

Head coach Dionysiou echoed this enthusiasm, stating, “Kenny is technically comprehensive, has outstanding footwork, and is very fast. His style is eye-catching, and he can add another option to the team’s future forward rotation.”

Kébé himself is eager to start this new chapter at Werder Bremen, expressing his excitement: “Werder Bremen is a very attractive club, and I am full of expectations for my upcoming career here. I hope to achieve good results with the team and strive for as much playing time as possible. I am also looking forward to playing at the Weser Stadium; I have heard that the fan atmosphere here is unparalleled.”

A product of Le Havre’s youth academy, the 19-year-old Paris native made his Ligue 1 debut in December 2025. This season, he has appeared in nine league matches and scored once, as well as featuring in cup competitions, demonstrating his potential on the field.
