Galatasaray’s fortunes may be on the upswing as star striker Victor Osimhen returns to training following a recent injury setback.
The Nigerian forward had been sidelined with an arm injury sustained last month, during which time the team struggled to find their rhythm on the pitch. Coach Okan Buruk expressed relief over Osimhen’s comeback, highlighting the positive influence it has brought to the squad.
“Osimhen had a long training session with the team yesterday. Of course, it’s having a positive effect on the team,” Buruk stated. He added, “He trained very well. I have confidence in all my players. Osimhen’s participation in training is positively boosting the team’s energy.”
As anticipation builds for Saturday’s crucial Super Lig matchup against Genclerbirligi, reports indicate that Osimhen is eager to start. However, Buruk emphasized that the final decision regarding his inclusion in the lineup rests with him.
“We will consider whether or not to take Osimhen to Ankara,” he confirmed, leaving the door open for potential game-time as the team seeks to bolster its performance.
