Following the departure of former coach Nasreddine Nabi, Kaizer Chiefs co-coaches Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef appeared to have exceeded expectations during their tenure at AmaKhosi.
With five victories from their last five fixtures, their impressive turnaround is believed to be something that heavily weighs in their favour, with their future at the club yet to be determined.

In conversation with Soccer Laduma, an insider recently revealed that the club are currently facing the dilemma of having to decide whether they should keep the interim coaches full-time or appoint a new head coach.
The source told Soccer Laduma that the co-coaches are on the verge of achieving the highest point tally in the league for the past nine seasons and emphasised why this is more than enough reason to hold onto them.
“Look at it this way. Look at what the coaches have done. When last did Chiefs reach over 40 points, going for 50 points? I think it was the 2022/23 season. Now the team has the chance of reaching even 56 points if you look at the remaining games.
“How then do you let the coaches go? That’s the dilemma. And you know it’s not guaranteed that whoever comes in will do better than them. That means the new coach must, at least, reach 70 points.
“At the moment, it’s hard for the club to decide what happens next regarding the technical team. What could be the basis of not renewing their contract if they finish in such a good position? When last did Chiefs achieve such points as this season? So that’s where the big dilemma comes in,” the insider told Soccer Laduma.
