The 29-year-old is in pursuit of her third African title, having qualified as the fastest athlete across the two heats. Her impressive performance showcased her readiness for the final, which will take place at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Debutante Janet Sunday also made headlines by finishing second in her heat, further bolstering Team Nigeria’s presence in the competition. The heat was ultimately won by Ghana’s record holder, Evonne Britton, setting the stage for a thrilling final showdown.
