Max Allegri, the head coach of AC Milan, has expressed his satisfaction with Rafael Leao’s recent contributions on the pitch.
Following the goalless draw against Juventus on Sunday, Allegri praised Leao’s performance, citing it as one of the standout displays of the season for the winger.
He remarked, “You can’t expect Leao to have consistent performances. He’s never had that, not even 3 or 4 years ago. Against Juventus, he had one of his best performances of the season.”
Allegri emphasized Leao’s all-around effort, stating, “He also worked hard defensively and had a good attitude. Players like him have to make a difference, and Rafa has done just that this year, with both assists and goals.”
In this season’s campaign, Leao has made a notable impact, registering 10 goals and three assists in 28 appearances for AC Milan.
