Nigeria’s National Sports Commission Expresses Continued Support for Favour Ofili Following Allegiance Request Denial

In a poignant reaffirmation of national pride, the Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Hon. Bukola Olopade, has publicly pledged Nigeria’s unwavering support for sprinter Favour Ofili after World Athletics turned down her request to switch her representation to Turkey.

During a heartfelt address, Olopade affirmed the NSC’s dedication to Ofili, stating that the nation eagerly anticipates her return to the national team. “She’s our daughter. We love her so much and I’ve always said we must speak to her to come home. I am urging Ofili and those close to her that home is waiting for her,” he expressed.
